See the above photo for an example of a Class 6 card (on the left), with an older/slower unmarked card on the right. I tried reading the maker's manuals for 15 minutes to no avail but then I found this marvelous blog and solved my problem in a minute! I've replaced the LCD screen before thanks to your help. :) It has worked for a couple years now. I tried the tape thing first, didn't work.

Now you will see "Write Protection" option. If this is indeed what you did, this would correct the card error problems, but unfortunately would make any photos unrecoverable, even with software. I tried and finally the camera DMC-TZ5 recognized the memory card again. What Does Sd Card Lock Do That is from a meltable glue stick.

It did this with all my cards (they all work, none are Locked).

Do n and n^3 have the same set of digits? Would suggest as a first troubleshooting step, checking with a new card reader as they're only a couple dollars or less (check on Amazon).
