I still find the search insufficient because WP allows you to do many more things by its functionality. The senior staff, along with each faculty member (over 275) has her/his individual page that, for now, I do all of the updates myself (ouch). WordPress.org support forums is the best for this kind of help. Any ideas? If you are at an office or shared network, you can ask the network administrator to run a scan across the network looking for misconfigured or infected devices. Plugins aren't the answer.
As for what you are doing, you are trying to reinvent a wheel that has been invented many times before. I’m looking for the code that actually does the MySQL fulltext search for the posts. Notify me of new posts via email. Actually it doesn't return any results for anything I search for.
