I have had several problems with laptops in the past where its been brand new and something will start going wrong with it the moment I touch them. You can only upload videos smaller than 600MB. You can only upload a photo (png, jpg, jpeg) or a video (3gp, 3gpp, mp4, mov, avi, mpg, mpeg, rm). Does that make sense? This way of correcting with the Ctl + F5 suggests to me that the mouse pad can easily be disabled accidentally in the same way - by unknowingly pressing those buttons..
