Hope this helps. 2004 golf mk5 with retrofitted: cruise control, MFSW, Highline clock diplay, angel lights. its not worth £170+ to replace for me though. Then remove the cable (same fixing as the cable on the door switch) and place somewhere safe. If you can get someone with VCDS to scan the instruments, convenience and cent electric controllers it might show up something.
