Most other wireless devices use the same 2.4ghz signal and could be causing issues. Try the wireless connection again.
Try clearing your cache in the slow browser. Try increasing the Power Setting on your gateway (for example, you could change the settingfrom 4 to 7; see Wireless keeps disconnectingfor steps). I can be sitting at the desk with my laptop (1 foot away from the 2WIRE) and it will drop connection.
