Faith Reply November 23, 2010 first time i had a problem my hard disk quit after i bought my laptop. I'll try the freezer idea tonight/tomorrow. This is a disaster recovery technique and will not fix a problem with the drive. The level and type of noise may change depending on the function the drive is performing.
